Terms and Conditions

 

Terms and Conditions for On Call Home Repairs.

1. Introduction

1.1 On call home repairs provides home services by acting as an intermediary between
customers and independent subcontractors.

1.2 By using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions in full. If you disagree with any
part of these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Service Description

2.1 The Company provides a callout service to facilitate emergency and non-emergency home
repairs by sourcing independent subcontractors to carry out the necessary repairs.

2.2 The Company does not perform repairs directly but arranges for an appropriate, fully qualified
and vetted subcontractor to attend the customers property.

3. Callout Fees

3.1 Emergency Callout (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM): £120

Same day call out, after 5pm, out of hours charges apply. The in-hours emergency call out then becomes the next day call out.

3.2 Non-Emergency Callout (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM): £80

If booked before 5pm, will be next day. If booked after 5pm, could be the next day or day after.

3.3 Emergency Callout (Outside 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM): £180 (Aimed within a few hours after booking).

3.4 Labour is charged separately and is to be paid on site to the contractor that arrives at the property.

3.5 All fees are non-refundable and cover the cost of sourcing and dispatching a subcontractor to your location.

3.7 These fees do not include the cost of any additional repair work that takes place after the first hour, which will be agreed upon directly
between the customer and the subcontractor. 

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Payment for callout fees must be made upfront:

4.1.1 Over the phone via debit or credit card.

4.1.2 Via a secure email payment link provided by the Company.

4.2 Once payment is made, the Company will initiate the process of finding and dispatching a suitable subcontractor.

4.3 Payments are final and non-refundable unless otherwise stated in these terms.

4.4 If for whatever reason the contractor or we do not receive payment after a job is completed within 5 working days we reserve the right to charge the card saved on file.

5. Service Limitations

5.1 The Company acts solely as a facilitator between customers and subcontractors. The Company
is not responsible for the quality, safety, or timeliness of the work performed by subcontractors.

5.2 The Company will make reasonable efforts to find and dispatch a subcontractor promptly but does not guarantee response times, particularly in remote or heavily booked areas.

5.3 In the rare event that the Company is unable to locate a subcontractor, the callout fee will be refunded in full.

6. Liability

6.1 The Company is fully insured for its services as a facilitator.

6.2 The Company is not liable for any damages, losses, or injuries that occur during the subcontractors service. Any issues with the repair work must be addressed directly with the subcontractor.

6.3 The Company will not be held responsible for delays or failures in service caused by factors beyond its control, including but not limited to extreme weather, subcontractor availability, or other unforeseen circumstances.

7. Refunds, Cancellation fees and Chargebacks

7.1 Payments made to the Company are taken as deposits for the organisation for the job, due to the fast application from our organisation of the job, they are non refundable.

7.2 For cancellations , a cancellation fee of 50% of the booking fee will be applied. This fee is necessary due to the allocation of our contractors time, transaction fees, and the office staffs time. 

7.3 The Company reserves the right to contest any chargeback claims through proper documentation and proof of service.

8. Customer Responsibilities

8.1 Customers must provide accurate information regarding their repair needs and location. Incorrect information may result in delays or additional fees.

8.2 Customers are responsible for ensuring that the subcontractor has access to the property and necessary facilities to perform the required repair work.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

9.1 The Company collects and processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

9.2 By using our services, you consent to the us using your details to contact you and give to contractors when needed to keep you updated with timings and any other important information.

10. Amendments

10.1 The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.

10.2 Any changes will be posted on the Company's website and will take effect immediately upon posting.
